Overview

The Centre for Volunteering is offering a nationally recognised statement of attainment for participants wishing to develop their volunteer coordination. Using select units from Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs, this short course is intended to cover the key fundamentals, including practical tips, tools and industry best practice techniques for enriching communication and volunteer worker experiences.

Who it’s for

We invite all volunteer coordinators, managers, leaders, or those looking to take the next step in their career path to apply.

How it works

Benefits

Unlike some of our other qualifications and statements of attainment, this training covers only two units of competency on key fundamentals of volunteer engagement. It’s an excellent option for volunteer leaders wishing to develop their skills and knowledge, without overextending their capacity. This training is also an excellent building block for further study, as all units can carry on into Volunteer Leadership Skillset statement of attainment or the full Certificate IV in Coordination of Volunteer Programs qualification (CHC44015).

Units

Use communication to build relationships (CHCCOM002)
Recruit, induct and support volunteers (CHCVOL003)

Delivery

The majority of learning takes place independently with course materials available online through our e-learning platform, Moodle. For each unit, we offer live online workshops via Zoom as per indicative Coordination Essentials Schedule. While attendance to all sessions is not mandatory, if you are not able to make the sessions, kindly call us to discuss prior to applying.

Fees

Student fees for this training vary. There are opportunities for eligible residents of NSW to complete this training subsidised, funded by the NSW Government (places are limited). Check the Smart and Skilled program for more information.

Please note that at the time of enrolment, we will need to see evidence (such as address and citizenship identification) to confirm your eligibility for the subsidy.
