Overview

The Centre for Volunteering conducts regular online Volunteer Leader Network Meetings which run every 6-8 weeks. These sessions are framed around sharing ideas and different approaches to address current issues across the volunteering sector. The meetings will also keep you informed about the many resources and opportunities for professional development on offer at The Centre for Volunteering.

Two different networks are available for you to join – one broad network for all Volunteer Leaders and another intended specifically for Remote and Regional Volunteer Leaders.

Who it’s for

We would love to hear from you if you identify or work within one of the following groups:

Volunteer leaders (experienced or new to the role of managing volunteers)

Whether you have recently come into the role of managing volunteers or are a seasoned volunteer leader seeking the support and shared experience of your peers – this network is for you.

Remote and regional volunteer leaders (based in or catering for regional areas)

If you are managing volunteers in a remote or regional area and would like the opportunity to link up and share common issues with other volunteer leaders who work in rural areas – this network is for you.

How it works

These online network meetings run every six to eight weeks for one hour. They are designed to build the capacity and professionalism of volunteer leaders, by acting as a sounding board for open discussion and exchange. Meetings are informal and interactive, based around topical issues and shared concerns, encouraging relationship building and knowledge sharing.
