When you become a member of The Centre for Volunteering (The Centre), you join a network of hundreds of organisations supporting thousands of volunteers in our communities.
As the peak body for volunteering, The Centre champions volunteering and provides support to volunteer involving organisations throughout the state. When you become a member, you access a great range of member benefits and services to enrich your program, however, your membership means more than that. It’s about working together to support and promote strong, diverse, inclusive communities through volunteering.
Who is membership for?
Membership is suitable for individuals, groups and organisations that engage volunteers. The Centre supports hundreds of volunteer leaders and volunteer involving organisations across the state.
Our members include:
- Not-for-profit organisations of all sizes
- Peak bodies
- Hospitals, schools, libraries, museums and cultural institutions and
- Local government agencies.

Apply to join the Peak Body for Volunteering in NSW
Before you complete the Membership application form ensure you have your organisation’s certificate of currency for Public Liability and Volunteer Personal Accident insurance to upload with your application or to send to us via email. This is also a requirement for Individual Members working with a Volunteer Involving Organisation.
