The efforts of our dedicated volunteer managers were celebrated today at a special virtual ceremony for the 2020 NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.

About 100 special guests, volunteer managers and community leaders came together for the virtual event to recognise and celebrate our professional managers of volunteer programs.

Four finalists were announced at the ceremony from a large field of nominations for the 2020 NSW Excellence in Volunteer Management Award.

The awards are a part of the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards program, one of the largest celebrations of volunteering across the country.

A final winner for the Excellence in Volunteer Management award will be announced at the State Ceremony on Thursday 3 December.

The 2020 Excellence in Volunteer Management finalists:

  • Starlight Children’s Foundation Volunteer Team
  • Judy Edwards from Riding for the Disabled
  • Kylie Elliott from the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation
  • Gertrude Salat from St John Ambulance

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards are an annual program run by The Centre for Volunteering and supported by principal partners the NSW Department of Communities and Justice and ClubsNSW.
