About the Conference

We are pleased to announce the Volunteering NSW 2019 State Conference will take place on Sydney Harbour at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf on Tuesday 4 June 2019.

The Volunteering NSW 2019 State Conference is the primary forum in NSW where leaders and practitioners come together to build knowledge, leadership and best practice in the volunteering sector.

The Conference has been developed for Volunteer Coordinators and Managers in the not-for-profit and community sectors, bringing together experts, academics and industry leaders to allow delegates the opportunity to advance their knowledge, develop skills and network.

Inclusion, Innovation, Inspiration

With the goal to challenge, inspire and empower, the Conference program will explore the theme “Inclusion, Innovation, Inspiration”, and the three sub-themes:

  • Leadership and Stewardship of Volunteering
  • Innovation and Collaboration
  • Valuing and Repositioning Volunteering

Transport Options

Parking: The Star Parking Station 80 Pyrmont Street, Pyrmont, NSW 2009. The Star car park is accessible from Pyrmont Street and Pirrama Road. Parking Rates from approximately 8.30am – 6.00pm are from $45.00

Wilson Jones Bay Wharf Carpark 19-21 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009 (opposite the other Doltone House venue Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf). Ferry: The ferry operates 7 days a week from Wharf No. 5 at Circular Quay and stops at Pyrmont Bay. For route and timetable information on State Transit’s “Darling Harbour” ferry to Pyrmont Bay call 131 500 or visit the website.

Bus: The State Transit Bus Route 389 regularly departs from City-Town Hall Park Street (Stand J) to Pirrama Road. For route and timetable information, call 13 15 00 or visit the website.

Walking: From Town Hall Train Station take a short walk over the Pyrmont Bridge at Darling Harbour. Darling Island Wharf is located opposite The Star Casino. This walk will take approximately 20 minutes.
