Rebecca Fitzpatrick is a trained flautist and singer who also spends many hours each week coordinating the team of 100 volunteers at Lou’s Place, a shelter in King’s Cross supporting women in crisis. The organisation provides so much help and support, to so many women and children, with so little money. It just wouldn’t happen without the tireless support and hands on coordination of their many volunteers.
Rebecca works directly with dozens of women facing domestic violence, trauma and other social issues impacting their lives. She also helped establish the Plunkett St Playgroup – a centre and program designed to help children in need of extra assistance and mothers who need support.
She runs their music classes for young families – using the power of song to help young children.
