For those who want to volunteer or help:

At this stage the Central Recovery Centre located at Taree is co-ordinating the recovery effort with emergency service organisations such as SES, Rural Fire Service and ADF personnel.  Trained staff and volunteers are being deployed to various areas to commence the clean-up phase.

Recovery Centres throughout NSW are working with local councils to coordinate the effort and Emergency Service organisations are not currently recruiting or training volunteers to assist.

How you can help?  – Emergency Service organisations are seeking monetary donations to help victims.  Material donations are discouraged due to the logistics and suitability of goods donated.  Your local Council in flood affected areas will be able to advise how you can help when assistance is required.
