National Volunteer Week 2023
April 20th, 2023
National Volunteer Week (15 – 21 May) is a time to celebrate. From volunteers to volunteer managers, from local communities to national initiatives, our sector is powered by a desire for meaningful change.
That’s why the 2023 theme – The Change Makers – is more resonant than ever, as we strive towards progress for the industry and beyond.
Set aside some time this week to reflect on the people making waves in your organisation or community, and be sure to thank them for the positive impact they leave behind. Whether you’re operating in aged care, emergency services, sports, arts and cultural groups, and everything in between, no job is too big or too small to go without recognition.
As your Peak Body for Volunteering, let us be the first to start. From all of us at The Centre: thank you for everything you do.
Express gratitude for your volunteers with Volunteering Australia’s Certificates of Appreciation, a virtual “thank you” to valued members of your team.
Get into the spirit of National Volunteer Week by accessing countless of digital resources, including logos, invitations temples, poster designs, social media assets, email signatures and more.
What type of Change Maker are you? Join the “We are the Change Makers” campaign to celebrate the diversity in skills, expertise and motivations of volunteers across the country.
Are you a Caregiver, Defender, Energiser or something else? Take part and share which type of Change Maker you fit into with the social media resources on the Volunteering NSW website.
Engage with peers, research findings, new ideas and more in this week’s events, including webinars, panel discssions and more.
With events for the nation and the state, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what is happening in the sector. Can’t make it to one in your state? Why not broaden your horizons and see what you can discover from another state!
