AusAlert for Emergencies and Disasters
AusAlert is an emergency warning system that enables the Australian Government and emergency services to send alerts to compatible mobile devices during local and national emergencies and disasters. It will eventually replace the current SMS-based Emergency Alert system. AusAlert is being tested in selected communities across Australia and will be fully operational from 1 October 2026.
