This workshop is designed to help you undertake effective steps in managing volunteers, with a focus on advanced communication and resolution skills that will make all the difference to your professional relationships.

You will walk away with practical strategies that you can directly apply in your workplace to build trust, improve performance and productivity as well as strengthen relationships.

Topics to be covered in the workshop:

• Setting values and expectations

• Clarifying roles

• Frameworks for Volunteer Management and a brief look at National Standards for Volunteer Involvement

• Developing and maintaining professional boundaries

• Feedback skills

• Managing difficult behaviours

Facilitator

The facilitator, Tulsi van de Graaff, is a communication and conflict expert and a former lawyer, with a psychology, mediation, counselling and investigation background.

Tulsi works with organisations to create impressive teams, great people and inspiring leaders and to solve the complex and challenging people, communication and culture problems. Her areas of expertise include organisational cultural change, leadership development, emotional intelligence, relationship building, volunteer management, team repair, dealing with challenging behaviours and coaching and mentoring.

Tulsi has extensive experience working with volunteers, volunteer organisations and councils.
