Raising the profile of Volunteer Managers
July 2020 Volunteer Management Forum
The world would be a very different place without volunteers. So why is it that the profession of the people who recruit, manage and lead volunteers is often misunderstood and unrecognised?
As a leadership coach, I see Volunteer Managers dealing with the same pressures and conflicts as those managing paid staff, often with more people in their care and with less support from the wider organisation. This is not always the case, of course, but it’s a trend that I believe we could change in the future.
This session is an opportunity to test my hypothesis, and if I’m right, brainstorm the actions that we can take individually and collectively to raise the profile of Volunteer Managers. This in turn will help you as Volunteer Managers to promote your programs, the services delivered and the incredible people who volunteer their time.
If you’re interested to help us explore this topic and connect with like-minded people, book in below for a 1 hour Zoom chat over afternoon tea on 30th July at 3pm. See you there!
