An article in the Guardian provides an overview of some of the findings of a report on a recent YouGov survey of 501 Australian middle managers and HR professionals. The survey was commissioned by the social enterprise Jigsaw.

The report identifies that half of Australian managers and human resources professionals in the survey say their organisation has never hired a person with disability and nearly one in 10 were not open to recruiting a person with disability in the future, according to the survey.

The HR professionals also found dissatisfaction with the Department of Social Services’ Disability Employment Services program (DES), which provides assistance to employers to support employees with disability in the workplace.
