Activate Sydney@Night Grants

Grants are available to support thriving night-time an creative economies.

The Office of Responsible Gambling is seeking applications from a wide range of groups and individuals such as community groups, venues, Liquor Accords, commercial organisations and/or individuals.

Funding of $500,000 is available for one-off unique ideas that encourage a vibrant night-time-economy in the seven key precincts of Darlinghurst, Haymarket and George Street, Opera House to Walsh Bay, Pyrmont, Newtown, Liverpool and Parramatta.

Projects and initiatives must run at night – defined as between 6.00 pm and 6.00 am – and be based in one of the night-time economy precincts.

  • Grants of up to $100,000 per application are available for projects that will help activate a vibrant, diverse and dynamic night time economy for the benefit of the local community and visitors
  • Funding is available to expand existing initiatives or seed funding for new initiatives that support the night-time-economy such as cultural or street-fairs, support for permanent or pop up venue spaces, or coordinated programming of music, arts and entertainment
  • Funding is available for one-off events as well as a series of events delivered within 12 months of the receipt of funds.
