About
Following the 2023 NSW State of Volunteering Report, focus groups were convened across NSW to delve deeper into specific areas of interest highlighted in the data and findings of the Report.
Consultations, held across NSW in 2024, explored the themes of volunteering in sport, older persons and volunteering, volunteering and youth, rural and regional volunteering, and women in volunteering.
From these consultations, five supplementary reports were developed, providing insights into commonalities and differences across the broad NSW volunteering sector, and recommendations from volunteers to support healthy, resilient volunteering.
2024 State of Volunteering Supplementary Reports
These supplementary reports would not have been possible without the ongoing support of the Department of Communities and Justice and the generous time given by all focus group participants.
