2023 NSW Volunteer Leader of the Year Announced
Congratulations to the 2023 NSW Volunteer Leader of the Year: Raise Foundation Volunteer Engagement Team.
Biography
The Raise Foundation supports communities through youth mentorship services, as part of an early intervention initiative for young people at risk of poor wellbeing or disengagement.
The Volunteer Engagement Team ensures our volunteers are clear about their roles, that they are supported with ongoing training and development, and that they are celebrated at the conclusion of the program – Nominator
Contributions
The Raise Foundation Volunteer Engagement Team have made an important contribution to their cause, including that:
- 100% of volunteer mentors rate their training as good or excellent,
- 98% of mentees feel safe talking to their mentor,
- 86% of school partners say that the Raise Foundation volunteer mentors support the wellbeing team at the school.
