2023 NSW Not-for-Profit Voluntary Governance Award Announced

Congratulations to the 2023 NSW Not-for-Profit Voluntary Governance Award Winner: Gold Committee Co-Chairs, with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Biography

Linda and Josh Penn both lead busy lives, respectively managing a national retailing organisation and taking care of a young family and self-owned business. Yet, for the past two years, they have volunteered as the Gold Committee Co-Chairs for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Their roles and responsibilities include steering monthly meetings, reviewing budgets, and keeping committee members on track with their assigned tasks to ensure success.

During the two years of which Linda and Josh have been committee co-chairs, they have championed the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, and broken the Australian record for charity dinners and the global record for children’s hospital charity galas – Nominator

Contributions

Linda and Josh Penn have made significant contributions to the Gold Dinner Committee, including:

  • Driving pre-pledging and pre-sponsorship for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation fundraising teams.
  • Leveraging their personal connections to drive support and fundraising.
  • Raising $9 million to fund equipment programs during the 2022 Gold Dinner
  • Raising a record-breaking $19.2 million for an Australian Comprehensive Complex Care Centre to be built at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in 2023.
