December 8th, 2022
Multicultural Youth Affairs Network (MYAN), Outer Western Sydney
“She uses her experience to improve systems for herself and those around her, aiming to shed a light on social justice issues in Australia and mentor other low socioeconomic kids in her area into similar achievements.” – Nominator
University of Western Sydney student Rose has amassed a lot of volunteering experience across many organisations and causes. Throughout her school and university years, she volunteered to tutor fellow students, taught international students English language lessons, and supported newly settled refugees. Rose has also volunteered at the NSW Youth Parliament, Multicultural Youth Affairs Network, the Red Cross and Youth Action NSW.
Recently, she fulfilled a life-long dream of establishing a Street Library, which has already seen 100 books exchanged (75 of which were personally donated by Rose and her family).
The impact of Rose’s work cannot be understated, as she continues to inspire and empower those around her.
