Angelica Grigorian of Dee Why for her work with the Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Angelica has been helping a 14-year old girl with cerebral palsy complete her gym work once a week. As a result, her friend can now walk to the gym with Angelica rather than use a wheelchair, which is a huge achievement for both of them. Angelica also manages a team at a local soccer program for kids with a disability, which she fits in around studying for her Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Sydney

Frank Wyld of North Narrabeen – Taronga Conservation Society Australia, Taronga Zoo

Frank has been a dedicated and reliable volunteer for over 30 years and in that time has contributed a huge amount to Taronga. Frank volunteers in the Guest Experience team and has done for the last 30 years. He is responsible for welcoming guests, providing animal encounters and leading VIP tours. This requires a huge commitment to ongoing training and extensive knowledge development and maintenance. In addition Frank is trusted to move and handle zoo animals for public interaction as well as lead tours including animal interaction unsupervised. Frank has mentored many, many new Volunteers and continues to do so. Frank was nominated by his fellow volunteers who paid tribute to his enormous commitment to the Zoo.

2015 Sydney North Region Adult Volunteer of the Year

Anne O’Hagan of Mosman – Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Anne began volunteering with Cerebral Palsy Alliance early in 2012 and has been assisting our staff by running computer training sessions each fortnight since then. These sessions were originally organised by our Volunteer Department, however as her services became so popular amongst our staff, it soon became apparent that this task required a more formal approach. Since January 2014 Anne has been engaged with our Training Alliance and has delivered training, coaching and computer support to approximately 150 people either one or one or in group sessions.

Not only does Anne donate her time to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance she has also volunteered in a similar role with The Smith Family for many years. Her unwavering generosity in giving her considerable expertise to assist not-for-profit organisations is outstanding and very much appreciated.
