Student Community Involvement Program Speaker Profiles

School volunteering is supported by the following organisations. At the SCIP seminars in schools, these organisations partake as SCIP speakers in order to inform and inspire young people about the work of their organisation and opportunities for young people to volunteer.

The_Centre_for_Volunteering

The Centre for Volunteering is the peak body in NSW, promoting and supporting volunteering and community participation.
Animal Liberation

Animal Liberation speakerAnimal Liberation advocates for the rights of all animals through media campaigns and awareness-raising.
Asylum Seekers Centre

The Asylum Seekers Centre exists to provide a welcoming environment and practical support for community based asylum seekers residing in NSW.
Inspire Foundation

ActNow enables youth active and meaningful individual community participation to promote mental health and wellbeing among youth.
St Vincent de Pauls

Vinnies' work includes any form of assistance alleviating suffering or deprivation, promoting human dignity and personal integrity.
Sydney Heritage Fleet

Sydney Heritage Fleet restores, operates and maintains a fleet of historically significant vessels with the support of volunteers.
The Wilderness Society

The Wilderness Society protects, promotes and restores the environment and is a community-based, national environmental advocacy organisation.
Vision Australia

Vision Australia is a living partnership between people who are blind, sighted or have low vision. Volunteers help in all areas of their work.
