The Centre for Volunteering - the peak body for volunteering in NSW invites your company to partner with The Centre to present the 2008 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award – the only volunteer awards endorsed and supported by the NSW State Government and Patron of the Awards, the Honourable Linda Burney, MP, Minister for Fair Trading, Youth and Volunteering.

The Centre for Volunteering supports and advocates for not-for-profit organisations engaging and running volunteer programs within their organisations, with over 550 organisation members and 33,000 individual members. The Centre for Volunteering excels at best practise of volunteer management, corporate volunteering programs, volunteer training/education, policy and research.

2008 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award Sponsorship Proposal
The sponsorship of $3,000 is a small investment to assist The Centre for Volunteering to promote and encourage nomination to the awards of individual volunteers and award a cash prize to not-for-profit organisations. The sponsorship funds raised will be invested in promotional activities and merchandise, award certificates and cash prizes to organisations to support volunteer activities and programs.Don’t forget that your company can nominate for the prestigious volunteer awards.
Background to the Award
The Inaugural 2007 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award was an outstanding success with over 36 Regional Winners and 3 overall state winners in the categories of State, Youth, Senior and Corporate. The State Winners were presented with an Outstanding Achievement Certificate presented by Linda Burney and a cash prize for the not-for-profit organisation they volunteered their time, energy and expertise for. The State Government supports and endorses the Award and encourages companies to work with The Centre of Volunteering to recognise and promote volunteering in NSW.The 2008 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award is looking bigger and better, based on the successful model of 2007 we have secured the support of:
