Layne BeachleyLayne Beachley
2008 NSW Volunteer Ambassador of the Year

Layne is the most successful female surfer of all time and seven–time world champion. Layne is Founder and Chief Executive of the Layne Beachley Aim for the Stars Foundation and she has been involved in numerous charitable works and organisations.

Layne is an athlete and a business woman, running Beachley Athletic and Beachley jewellery. In 2006, Layne herself staged the richest event in women's surfing history; the Havaianas Beachley Classic at Manly Beach, Sydney. A huge success, the event has the NSW Government's support for a further three years.

In 2003 Layne created the Aim for the Stars Foundation to support and promote the academic, sporting, community and cultural dreams of young women across Australia. In addition to this Layne has been involved as an ambassador, spokesperson and volunteer for many charities including:

The Layne Beachley Aim For The Stars Foundation, ambassador for Unicef, Breast Cancer, Planet Ark, Club Sporanza, Day of Difference Foundation.

Layne continues to lead the way in women's surfing having just won an unprecedented seventh world title in her 17th year on tour. With a thirst for personal and professional happiness, Layne Beachley exemplifies that there are neither limitations nor boundaries to achieving goals and great success. Congratulations Layne.
