NAB Volunteer Awards winners

The National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced the winners of its 2005 Volunteer Awards.

The winners of each category are listed below.

  • Art & Culture - National Folk Festival ACT/NT
  • Community Service & Development - Asylum Seeker Resource Centre VIC
  • Education and Youth Development - Caloundra City Libraries, Adult Literacy Program QLD
  • Emergency and Safety - Benalla Unit State Emergency Service VIC
  • Environment and Wildlife - Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre WA
  • Health and Wellbeing - Southern Adelaide Palliative Services Volunteer Service SA
  • Sport and Recreation - Sport SA SA

NSW winners included Sutherland PCYC Rock Eisteddfod, two eight two eight, Youth Off The Streets, Long Reef Surf Life Saving Club, Wycare Inc, Lifeline Central West and Hunter Sports Centre. Each received $7,000 to go towards their activities.

More than 1,100 nominations were received across the seven categories this year.
