Dear Valued Members, Supporters and Friends,
Did you know that The Centre for Volunteering has a number of businesses as members that are keen to have their staff volunteer in a charity or not-for-profit organisation? Yes, at this time of year in particular, many businesses are seeking to make a contribution to assist the community and to demonstrate corporate social responsibility. Some have large teams of skilled and willing people who are happy to take on a big job and they don’t mind getting their hands dirty!
Do you have a large job that needs doing?
- A garden tidied up
- An office painted
- A storage place cleaned out
- Furniture and equipment moved
- A major cleaning job
- Catering for a big event
Any of the above and more may be undertaken by a large team and completed in a short time scale; typically a day or two.
Good preparation is the key to success. The Centre for Volunteering can assist you to find an appropriate corporate partner then the parties need to plan the event:
- agree the tasks
- dates, and times
- equipment required
- health and safety considerations
- understanding the corporate client and their needs and expectations from the event.
Currently The Centre for Volunteering has four regular volunteering opportunities that suit our business members but we need more.
