Would you like a small team of University Students to work on a Community Project for your organisation?

8 September 2009 | Odessa O'Brien, The Centre for Volunteering

The Centre for Volunteering has partnered with University of Western Sydney to create an extra-curricular program which provides opportunities for university students in a range of studies to develop their qualities and skills via active volunteering within the wider community. We are currently looking for community partners to participate in the program and a range of activities and or projects to offer the students that will benefit your organisation.

This could be hands on volunteering on a weekly or fortnightly basis or project based volunteer opportunities suitable for a small team of volunteers to accomplish. The Students are available from October 2009 to January 2010.

The process is collaborative: students and community groups are involved in all facets of the project's development and implementation.

Projects are initiated by the community organisation and can range from small projects that involve two or three students and can be completed off site or can be a short term volunteer role that is based at the organisation.

If you are interested or have an idea that you would like to put forward please email Odessa O'Brien.
