Community Sector Banking (CSB) has announced the launch of Community Fleet Services – a new and unique service specifically for nonprofit organisations that has the potential of saving millions of dollars annually across the nonprofit sector.
Community Fleet Services is a centralised resource that provides a full suite of motor vehicle fleet management services that will deliver better outcomes across the nonprofit sector.

The service has been developed by CSB, the Australian Car Buying Service (ACBS) and the Charities Tax Advisory Service (C-TAS). Each of these organisations has extensive knowledge and experience of the nonprofit sector.
Peter Quarmby, Executive Director, CSB said: "The establishment of Community Fleet Services is a strategic response to the nonprofit sector's need for a centralised resource for efficient procurement, management and disposal of motor vehicles. The service will provide significant benefits to nonprofit organisations of all sizes – from those with one or two vehicles to those with large fleets."
The new service has strong endorsement of major nonprofit organisations.
David Thompson, Chair of the National Roundtable of Nonprofit Organisations and CEO of Jobs Australia – a peak body representing over 250 organisations in the nonprofit sector, said: "This is a long overdue initiative which will be of huge benefit to the nonprofit sector. We know it will be welcomed by our members and the sector as a whole. We look forward to working with Community Fleet Services to achieve significant savings across our motor vehicle fleets."
John McIntosh, CEO of CFS, said: "We have already received favourable feedback from the sector that has demonstrated strong demand for a comprehensive service dedicated to achieving better financial, operational and social outcomes when it comes to running a motor vehicle fleet. We have identified that the potential cumulative savings could be in excess of fifty million dollars across the sector annually."
