actnow.com.au is a program of the Inspire Foundation (www.inspire.org.au)

actnow.com.au helps young people to better understand their world. It provides them with information, tools and contacts to help them do something about the issues that affect them and their community.

actnow.com.au presents information relevant to young people. It makes hard issues more accessible and easier to understand. It helps them find, get involved, donate and take action on things that are important to them.

actnow.com.au aims to support and showcase the work of organisations like yours. actnow.com.au acts as a broker of information and action opportunities for young people.

actnow.com.au launched on 9 May 2006 and received over 900,000 visits in its first year of operation.

actnow.com.au conducted user profiling in May 2007. Of the 400 young people surveyed:

• 88% said they are more aware of social issues since visiting ActNow
• 90% had taken more steps towards learning about an issue
• 78% had taken action on issues they care about
• 92% had spoken to friends or family about an issue
• 86% made a donation money to a charitable cause or organisation (73% had donated several times)
• 78% had volunteered their time to help others.
