Not-for-profit public relations: UTS students' sponsorship and fundraising strategy opportunity
[20 November 2006 | The Centre for Volunteering]
Do you need help to develop a sponsorship and fundraising strategy? Let UTS students help you develop a thorough and targeted strategy.
As one of their major assignments in 2007, final year students majoring
in Public Relations: Contexts and Applications for the Bachelor of Arts
in Communication at the University of Technology Sydney have offered to
help members create a professional, well-researched, persuasive and winning
sponsorship and fundraising strategy tailored specifically to members'
needs (e.g. Health, Welfare, Education, Environment and Sport).
We need volunteering organisations who want to work closely with teams of three or four students to develop a fundraising and sponsorship plan. This collaboration will take place from about early March to early May 2007.
The final part of the strategy involves a presentation at UTS. Members need to:
- Ensure that their sponsorship and fundraising strategy is important and high priority.
- Establish a good relationship with clear and consistent communication and reporting channels between sponsorship and fundraising staff and the students, and any other party.
-
Be located in the Greater Sydney region to make face-to-face meetings possible with students.
The Centre for Volunteering and UTS will draw up a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set out the objectives, clarify roles and responsibilities and outline major points of the project.
If you would like to take up this worthwhile offer, please register your interest ASAP with Dr
Anton Mischewski or phone 02 9261 3600.
