Calling all vitality volunteers![9 October 2006 | Nivea & The Centre for Volunteering]
These days, hitting the big 5-0 is not a time to start slowing down, in fact recent research by NIVEA VISAGE shows Australian women in their 50s have a renewed spirit of adventure, are travelling the world and playing an active role in the community.
Which is why NIVEA VISAGE VITAL – the newest range of face care products for mature skin – has joined forces with New Idea, the Seven Network and Yahoo!7 to offer inspirational women aged 50+ the chance to experience the beauty of making a difference by taking part in one of two life-changing overseas volunteering projects.
Four women will be selected to travel in pairs to Thailand or South Africa where they will live for four weeks and take part in a social service or conservation project. They will be either helping children in Chiang Mai in beautiful Northern Thailand to discover spoken English or assisting conservation experts on a Private Game Reserve in South Africa, nearby The Kruger National Park.
The NIVEA Vitality Project representatives will also have the chance to meet the celebrity judging panel in Sydney and tell their story to New Idea magazine!
Involvement Volunteer (IVI) CEO, Tim Cox, who is part of the Project team, said: "We are very excited to be working with NIVEA to create this opportunity to help women 'fifty plus' discover a world of volunteering beyond these shores. There is such a wealth of talent, experience and enthusiasm that we can share with communities overseas who welcome our assistance with open arms."
So if you know an inspirational woman that has done something great for the community, and is looking for a unique overseas experience make sure you encourage them to pick-up a copy of New Idea and apply for The NIVEA Vitality Project.
It's easy to enter – simply log on to www.newidea.com.au/niveavitalityproject and complete the form online or look out for the next edition of New Idea to fill in and send your entry form by post.
