You are invited to participate in a survey on occasional or event volunteering in Australia. The survey is part of a large-scale international study on the topic across 20 countries. The survey will examine why people participate in a one-off volunteering activity, and their motivations, benefits and difficulties in doing so. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete.
The study in Australia is conducted by Associate Professor Debbie Haski-Leventhal, from Macquarie University (+61 2 9850 7860, email: Debbie.Haski-Leventhal@mgsm.edu.au) and Professor Kirsten Holmes, from Curtin University. Ethics approval has been obtained from both universities. The international project is led by Prof Ram Cnaan from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and Prof Lucas Meijs from Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
Responses will be anonymous and kept confidential. Only the researchers taking part in this project will have access to the data, although a summary of all the responses will be provided to Volunteering WA. No individual will be identified in any analysis or publication of the results. Personal details will not be given to any third party and your participation in this study is entirely voluntary.
Survey submissions close Friday 8th of May, 2018.
