December 2008 | Odessa O'Brien, The Centre for Volunteering
Over the last 12 months we have had a huge increase in the number of Corporate Volunteering events which has come about due to the program launch of C3P: Creating Community Corporate Partnerships. C3P acts as a broker to connect corporations with not-for-profits in beneficial Employee Volunteering projects and activities.
The Corporate Volunteering activities have ranged from 100 Integral Energy employees and sub contractors helping out at an aged care facility to four Office for Fair Trading volunteers helping out at the Sculptures by the Sea event held at Bondi and Tamarama beach.
We have had a great response to the Eco Eden Corporate Volunteering Day with over 880 volunteer hours dedicated to this corporate volunteering activity alone. Eco Eden is the perfect way to assist frail, aged and people with a disability to stay in their own home and help create an enjoyable garden space. The day is supervised by an experienced team leader who has produced a full scope of works to turn the garden area into an easy care eco eden.
Other wonderful events that have attracted the interest of employee volunteers include:

Employees will be getting busy in the kitchen and whipping up a Christmas Feast for 20 clients that attend this Social Club.
